so i decided i have a new birthday wish for this year. a few days ago i wanted a killer art-supplies-showcase (that includes staedtler mars lumograph pencils, sketchpads by the dozen, magazines, colored pencils, pencil pastels and a puppy) but now i am willing to overlook the splendor that is a killer art-supplies-showcase for this:
a medium wacom intuos 4. i'm seriously considering digital art right now, thanks to atomhawk's charlie bowater. her talent is off the charts. gah, and she's only 22.
did i mention that this killer gadget is worth around Php 19000+ here? pawning my soul.

Maybe you could start with a Bamboo you know. Its much more affordable and it still is a pretty good tablet.
I´v seen so many people get an Intuos right from the start and in a few months shove it off cuz painting isn´t really their thing XD~
I used a Graphire4 (bamboo older model) for a long time and just recently I upgraded for an Intuos. Yeah its a hellava upgrade, but still its aimed to those who really really use the entire thing.

Yeah I believe the Wacom Bamboo small is a very solid choice for a first tablet (even Graphire if you can find it cheap). If you get to the point where you decisively LOVE painting, then get an Intuos =]
